SHOPPING DAYS: Thousands of
shoppers, including Esther Houidobre of Rio Rancho, began their Friday
with early-morning visits to their favorite merchants in an attempt to
catch special sale prices on Christmas gifts. Houidobre said she sent
her husband out to Walmart at midnight and she was in stores by 5:30
a.m.
